Memorazzo

Remember and connect everything

What is Memorazzo?

Memorazzo is an app that can store and retrieve any kind of information. Simple notes, or information about people, places, projects, dates, anything you like. You could keep track of your daily life, or your books, or the people you've met on a certain occasion.

Memos

All information is stored in memos. A memo is like a card in a card index, with two additional benefits: memos can have a type and structured fields, and memos can be linked to each other.

Memo types

All memos have a type. The basic memo type is a "Note": memos of this type contain text only.
If you want to add different kinds of information to a memo, you need to create you own memo type first. Examples of memo types could be "Contact" (for a person), "Book" (to store information about books), or "Diary" (to make diary entries).
In addition, you can add fields to your own memo type, that can hold different kinds of information. Possible field kinds are (more) text, image, date, time, checkbox, contact, website, or map.
Having done that, you can create memos of your memo type, and enter the field contents per memo.

You can have as many memo types as you like. A memo type can have as many fields as you like.

Any memo can be linked to any other memo. That way, you can define connections between your memos. This is useful for finding back memos based on the associations that you have. When did I meet this person, and what did we talk about? Which books did I lend to whom? Which projects did I work on, with who, and what notes did I write related to the project?

Creating and retrieving memos

It's easy to create new memos. The "+"-button, at the top right in the toolbar, takes care of it. It's equally easy to create new types of memos, if you like. Another "+"-button, at the top right in the navigation column (on iPad) or the home screen (on iPhone), does the job. Memorazzo automatically keeps track of your memos on your iPad or iPhone. Memos are synced through iCloud, between devices that share your Apple ID. Memorazzo automatically creates lists of all memos, favourite memos and memos of the same type. Alternatively, if you don't know where your memos are stored, you can search for them based on title or content.

Collections

In addition to the lists mentioned above, you can create your own collections of memos. You could have a collection containing friends, and another one containing family members. You could create a collection of memos belonging to the same project. Any kind of collection is possible. A collection can contain memo's of mixed types. A memo can be part of as many collections as you like.

The memo board

As an alternative to showing memos in lists, memos can be kept on the memo board (iPad only). This is the background that is always available. Drag a memo from a list to the desired position on the memo board (or use the menu that appears after you long-press a memo or swipe it to the right). The memo will remain visible in all relevant lists as well.

The memo board is useful for displaying memos that are currently important to you. By double-tapping a memo (or again by using the menu or by swiping) a memo can be positioned in the middle of the memo board, surrounded by all of its direct links. At the same time, all other memos will disappear from the memo board, unless they're positioned against a border.
